The Invites feature allows the organization to create and send an email that contains the details of the opportunity, as well as an Apply button that would redirect them to the opportunity.
To send an Invite, manage an opportunity and click the Invites tab found at the left hand panel then click Create Invite.
Under step 1 Setup, enter the name and email of the sender and subject, and select the Invite template. You will also be able to track not attending responses and to send a test email by checking any of these options.
When creating a template, you will be able to customized any of our available default templates.

Under step 2 Select Invitees, you will need to select the recipients of the Invite. These recipients must have a primary email and must have their communication preference turned on, otherwise, they will not receive the email.
You may also do an Advanced Search if you are sending to multiple recipients having a specific criteria.
Lastly, under step 3 Send, you will have the option to either send the Invite now or at a future date. Click Save.
The Invite feature also functions as an invite for Private Opportunities. These opportunities can be those that are available only to a specific group of volunteers or those that have priority volunteers.
To make an opportunity private, you must not have this published to your public site or any Volunteer Action Center/University. Once the opportunity setup is complete, you may now send a Private Invite to your selected group of volunteers.
