Skills
“Skills” refer to the skills that an organization and its participants utilize to conduct its activities and support its cause.
- From the Main Menu, click Volunteers.
- Under Configurations, click Skills. A list of “parent” and “child” (i.e., sub-) skills will appear.
- To add a skill:
- To add a parent skill: Click Add New Skill in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Type the new skill name in the “Parent Skill” field, then click Save.
- To add a child skill to this parent category: Type the child skill name in the “Skill” field under “Child Skill,” then click Add.
- To add a parent skill: Click Add New Skill in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- To edit a skill, click Edit and the Add/Edit window will open.
- To edit the parent skill’s name: Type the new name, then click Save.
- To edit a child skill’s name in this parent category: Click Edit. Type the new name, then click Save.
- To delete a skill:
- To delete an entire parent category: Click Delete in the dropdown menu, then click OK.
- To delete a child skill: Click Edit next to the parent category. Next to the child skill you wish to delete, click Delete in its dropdown menu, then click OK.
- To hide a skill from your public site, uncheck the option to “Display on Public Site” and click OK on the confirmation pop-up.
