Labels and Letters: Generate Labels and Letters
- The Labels and Letters function allows users to print labels for food containers that identify each item in a delivery as well as to print letters for clients detailing the contents of their meal delivery.
- Labels and Letters are configured from within Fundly CRM. From the Main Menu in Fundly Connect or Fundly CRM, select Labels and Letters.
- On the Labels and Letters Index Screen you will see a list of past letter and label batches that have been generated.
- To edit or re-generate/print the letters, select Edit from the drop down on the right. To delete a generated batch of letters/labels, select Delete from the drop down on the right.
- To generate a new batch of labels and letters (for a particular delivery date), click the blue Add Label and Letter button in the lower right hand corner.
- Generating Labels and Letters is a three-step process. On the first tab, Select Client, enter the pick up location, delivery date, and delivery shift from the drop downs at the top of the screen (these fields populate from the Delivery Angel Volunteer Opportunity. - The system will display a list of clients who are scheduled for meal delivery on that date (clients for whom the meal planner AND delivery planner have been completed).
- Select the clients you wish to generate labels and letters for by selecting the white check box to the left of each contact’s name then click the blue Next button in the lower right hand corner to proceed to the next step.
- On the next tab, Select Chef, choose the names of the Adult and Teen chefs who cooked the day’s meals (if desired/applicable). The names of the Chefs populates from Configurations: Meals: Configure Chefs. See this tutorial for more information on adding/configuring chefs.
- Click the Add button to the right of each name to add them to the list of chefs responsible for preparing the day’s food items. To remove a chef from the list, click the trash can icon to the right of the chef’s name.
- When you are done, click the blue Next Step button in the lower right hand corner.
- On the last tab, Print Label and Letter, click Choose Template.
- On the next screen, select a label and/or letter template (see this tutorial on working with communication templates) by clicking on the template or by hovering over it and choosing Select (the word Selected will appear across the top of the template).
- To preview a template before selecting, hover over it and click the Preview
- An option to edit an existing template will be provided after you select the template and return to the Print Labels and Letters tab.
- To create a new label or letter template, click the blue Create New button at the top of the screen, select either the My Templates or System Templates tab, and then hover over the base/master template you wish to use as the starting point for your new template and select Copy. This will make a copy of the selected template and open up the template editor. See this tutorial on configuring templates.
- To undo creating a new template and return to selecting from an existing template, click the Back button at the top of the screen.
- When you are done selecting your template, click the Done button in the lower right hand corner.
- Once you have selected your templates, select which to print from the options in the lower right hand corner. Each option will open up a PDF file from which you can print your labels and/or client letters.
- When you are done, click the Back button (reverse arrow) in the lower left hand corner to return to the Labels and Letters Index screen.
