e-Appeals: Create New e-Appeal Part IV - Confirm e-Appeal and Send
- On Tab #4: Confirm, you will verify all information in your e-Appeal and send it.
- To get started, verify/confirm the variable you are testing.
- Verify the data in the variables you are not testing.
- Verify the data in your test variables.
- Verify your split percentages
- You can click on any of the split percentage numbers to see the recipients who are in that segment and who will receive that test variable. In the example below, we have clicked on the "16" in the second row, first column - these are the 16 recipients in our Lapsed Donor segment/list that will receive the version of our appeal with the subject line "Please Support MCA" (versus the 15 Lapsed Donors who will receive the appeal with the subject line "immediate Attention Required!").
- If you want to see the list of all recipients, click the orange box in the upper right with the Total # of Recipients Found.
- You can see which segment and which test group recipients are on when viewing the list of all recipients.
- If you wish to send yourself a test email, click the blue Send Email Test(s) button in the lower right. Please Note: test emails will not populate placeholders with real data (you will just see the placeholder text) and will not populate the Ask Array with real data nor will there be live links to test the Ask Array/to make a test donation.
- If you need to make changes to any of your configurations, click on the appropriate tab and make the changes.
- Once you are satisfied with your e-Appeal recipients and content and are ready to send, click the green Schedule button in the lower right.
- Select the internal recipient(s) who should receive notification when the e-Appeal has finished sending by entering the email address(es) and then click Schedule (click Close to cancel).
- You will receive a confirmation screen that your appeal has been scheduled for sending.
- You may exit out of the e-Appeals module by clicking Go to List to be taken to the Main Menu: Communications: Pending screen or by using the main menu to navigate elsewhere in the system.
- Your e-Appeal's status will be "scheduled". While it is still in scheduled status, you can still edit it and make changes or delete it. Please Note: if you scheduled your e-Appeal to send for a date/time in the past, the e-Appeal will begin processing immediately.
- Once the e-Appeal begins processing, the status will changed to Started Processing. Once the e-Appeal starts processing, you will not be able to edit or delete it and there is no way to stop it from sending.
- Once the e-Appeal finishes sending, it will be moved to Main Menu: Communications: History. From there you will be able to access metrics and create a follow-up appeal (see the tutorials on these items for more details).
