Organizations can associate their account with Volunteer Action Centers (VAC) and/or Universities. By following the 'Creating an Account' tutorial, the organizations that created their account under a VAC or University have automatically submitted the association request with the said VAC or University. If this is not the case, they can associate by following the steps below.
Tip: Associating with a VAC or University is helpful in promoting opportunities to a larger audience.
- From the Dashboard, click My Associations at top right of your screen.
If your organization’s VAC or University does not appear, continue with the following steps.
- Click Add Association.
- Search for the name of your VAC or University.
- Once found, click Save And Associate. Click Close. Before being finalized, the VAC or University will need to approve your association request.
Associating with a Program
Once your organization is associated with a VAC or University, you can associate with any of their configured programs. This process allows your organization to post opportunities linked to specific programs or events organized or sponsored by the VAC or the University. While you may have associated your organization with programs when creating the account, you can add program associations by following the steps below.
- From the Dashboard, click My Associations at top right of your screen.
- Click the name of the desired VAC or University.
- Under “Programs,” check the boxes next to any programs with which you wish to associate.
Note: Click the search/view icon to view a description of the program. - If an agreement is required to participate in the program, it will appear below the program’s name. Read the agreement, then sign in the field provided.
- Click Save. Before being finalized, the VAC or University may need to approve your request.
