Show Donation Description on Pages

By popular request, we've added fixed description labels/text to the donation ask levels on Pages (with the last release these were changed to labels that only showed when the user hovered over the ask amounts). Now, if you have configured a "text" ask and filled out the description field when configuring the ask amount (in the ask array), that description field will show on your front facing/public donation page(s). (This change only applies to Pages for website integration as Plug-Ins already displayed the description text)
 

Capture Home/Mailing Address on Pages

In our attempt to comply with the desire to slim down Pages and minimize donor data entry (so they don't get irritated and leave) we may have pruned a bit too vigorously. As requested, we've added the Home (individual check out)/Mailing (organizational check out) Address field back into Pages. It's been added to the Payer Information block; all fields in the block are optional/not required, except when that field is used in your duplicate prevention settings - then it becomes required.

Updated Social Media Widget for Templates

You've been asking for this one for a while - and now here it is! Ta da! An updated social media widget that you can add to your e-Blast templates. We've added options for Instagram, Pinterest, WhatsApp, and YouTube. To remove any of the icons, just delete the placeholder ("#"). To hyperlink any of them, remove the pound sign/placeholder and replace with the desired URL.

Tweaks/Updates to Templates

This was actually part of our last release (2020.1.1), but it's important enough we wanted to mention it again: we've made some updates to the template editor that had two impacts:

a) bullets now indent correctly when any communication is generated in PDF
b) the extra space between widgets has been removed (previously, there was extra spacing being added between widgets; for example, if you had two text widgets in your letter, there would be a white space/gap between them in the Word/PDF document).

Regarding the second item, you may notice now there is NO space between widgets in your communications. If your layout depended upon this white space/gap, you will need to add an extra/blank line at the end of the top widget or at the beginning of the send widget. G+ Removed From Public Profiles for Pages

For Pages clients, we have removed the Google+/G+ icon from the public profile log-in screens. The Google log-in option has been updated to just "G"/Google.

This same change will be coming for our plug-ins clients soon (we'll update you when that change is made).

e-Store Change Log

We've added a couple of refinements to our new e-Store module: now, on the Pending Orders and Order History screens, you will be able to see the log of status changes - who made them and when.

Additionally, on the left hand side of each order, for any cancelled orders you'll see the cancellation date and reason.

New Year End Thank You Letter Setting

Previously, Year End Thank You Letters generated letters for all donations made during the selected CALENDAR year. We've added a new setting that will allow you to define the start and end period of a "year" so that those clients in countries whose personal income tax filing year is something other than January-December can generate tax receipts for their donors. Find the new setting by going to Main Menu: Communication: Settings: Year End Thank Yous and then selecting the start month of the "year" for purposes of generating Year End Thank You Letters.
