With the release of a new build, users may experience some irregularities in their CRM or Connect account such as the appearance of strange code, blank screens/modules, lack of word wrapping, etc. These issues are related to the need to clear your browser cache and/or to log out and back in to the system in order to get the new updates. If you continue to experience difficulties after clearing your cache and re-logging in, please email us at support@fundly.com.

Changes to the Grants Module We've made some big changes to the Grants Module that make it easier than ever to track your grant applications. We've added a new status - Completed - so you can archive your funded/approved grants once they are wrapped up to make it easier to distinguish open grants from those that have are closed. And we've vastly simplified the Payment Schedule area and done away with single payment versus multi-payment grant selection. Now, to record anticipated and received payments, simply hit the blue Add Payment Schedule button to add a new row. Lastly, we've removed some of the validations/requirement to complete from several fields on Add New Grant (submission date, anticipated/budgeted amount, and requested amount are no longer required fields), changed some field labels for clarity, and added several new fields (including Grant Start Date and Grant End Date) to Approved Grants to add more flexibility to the Grants module. |

Changes to Householding Messaging We've made same changes the user interface around shared communications for householded contacts to help users better understand how shared communications work. When a user marks two contacts as living together (by checking the household check box), one of the contacts is designated as the Primary contact; all shared communications flow from the Primary's record to the Secondary's. In the past, a banner would appear across the top of the Primary and Secondary contacts' records while in Edit Contact to indicate they were sharing mailing address and any phone numbers and email addresses marked as household phone/email. Now, we've added that banner to View Contact as well. In addition, we've added messaging in the address, phone number, and email areas on both View Contact and Edit Contact to make it clearer which information is being shared between records. We've also added additional messaging to clarify that shared (household) phone numbers and email addresses can be edited from either the Primary's or Secondary's record, but they can only be created/added from the Primary's (mailing and billing addresses can be added and edited from either record). |

Changes to Fundly CRM - Fundly Connect Sync Break out your party hats! We've introduced the ability for organizational contact records (called businesses in Connect) to sync between CRM and Connect (previously only volunteer/individual contact data synced between the two systems)! Basic information about businesses/organizations will now sync between the two systems including Organization Name, Mailing Address, Phone Number and Email. Some other changes as well: 1) Previously only primary phone number and primary email address synced between the two systems. In addition, phone type and email type did not sync (just the phone number/email address). We've now added the ability for multiple phone numbers and multiple email addresses to sync as well as the type field. There are some limitations to this functionality however - only ONE phone number/email address of each TYPE can be synced. If the contact has two work phone numbers in CRM, for instance, then only one of those will be synced. The other will be ignored/will not sync. The system syncs the first email/phone number of each type it encounters in the contact's record ("first" being the earliest record entered/the one at the top of the list). An email address/phone number MUST have a type to sync. As such, we've implemented a change in CRM that any email address or phone number that is entered without a type will automatically be assigned the type "Personal." You'll see new messaging in your CRM that will alert you to this fact (this is true for all contact records, regardless of whether your organization is using Fundly Connect or not). 2) We've also added syncing for ethnicities and genders. We've added a tutorial in the support library that outlines Connect-CRM sync logic and what information syncs between the two systems at: https://support.fundly.com/hc/ |

Fundly CRM - Fundly Pro Sync Fundly Pro is our crowdfunding platform and now it syncs directly with Fundly CRM! ::cue cheering:: You can enable the sync from your Fundly Pro admin console. Add your CRM API Key (from your My Account area inside Fundly CRM) and away you go! Donations and Event registrations will sync to your CRM. This is a one-way sync - information will flow ONLY from Pro to CRM. We're working on adding a full tutorial will step by step instructions - that should be available soon in the Integrations section of the CRM support library. |
