Contacts: Add/Edit Contact
- This Tutorial will cover the basics of adding and editing a contacts in Fundly CRM.
- To add a contact to Non Profit Easy first navigate to the Individual Contacts List by going to the Contacts menu header and clicking on Individual.
- From here add a new contact by clicking the Add(plus sign) button on the right hand side of the contact list.
- This will open the Add/Edit Contact screen where the information for the new contact can be entered.
- The only two required fields for this screen are First Name and Last Name.
- Put the contacts first name and last name in the First Name and the Last Name fields respectively
- Once these required fields have been entered further information for the contact can be entered if available.
- If available, it is recommended that you enter the contact’s email address in the area provided on the right.
- The system uses email addresses as a unique identifier, and as such no two contacts may have the same email address in the system.
- This allows the system to minimize the creation of duplicate records.
- To save the contact click on the Save(disk) icon on the right hand side of the screen.
- The contact’s information has now been saved and the view has been moved to the next tab.
- Move back to the first screen by clicking the Personal Info tab.
- Go up to View Contact to view the contacts information.
- To go back and edit the contact’s information, click on the Edit(pencil) button over on the left side of the screen.
- Another way to get to the Add/Edit Contact screen is to return to the Individual Contact list, and mouse over the contact’s name.
- Notice on the left hand side two symbols have appeared, Edit(pencil) and Delete(X).
- Click on the Edit button to return to the Add/Edit Contact screen.
- The Personal Info tab for the contact is displayed were further changes can be made
- Save changes by once again clicking on the Save button.
