Membership: Recording Memberships: Batch Renewal
- This tutorial will cover the process of renewing contact memberships using the batch renewal functionality of Fundly CRM.
- The Batch Renewal feature within Fundly CRM allows you to renew multiple memberships in one screen, as well as record donations that may have been paid for along with the membership.
- To batch renew memberships, start by moussing over the Membership Management menu header and clicking on Batch Renew.
- This will bring you to the Batch Renewal screen which will list memberships that have recently expired and are up for renewal.
- To help refine the renewals displayed you can specify the date range in which the membership ended, or search by membership number.
- Once you have displayed the list of memberships you wish to work with, simple check the box next to the membership you wish to renew to select them for renewal.
- If the membership will be renewed as a type different than was previous had, use the Membership Type dropdown to indicate this change.
- The Renewal Date and Renewal Cost fields will indicate both the date the renewal will take effect and the cost of that subsequent renewal.
- Similarly, the Payment Date and Payment Amount fields will indicate the date of payment and amount that has been received for the renewed membership.
- If the contact, along with their membership payment, included payment for a donation you may click on the Add Donation button and fields will appear to specify information about this donation.
- Simply fill in the Donation Type, Donation Name and Donation Amount for the donation being made with the membership.
- If you do need to record additional information about the donation such as donation relationship or soft credit, click the Add More Donation Details button.
- Lastly, specify the way in which the renewal will be paid for; whether cash, check, credit card or some other method.
- If selecting Credit Card as a payment mode, a popup will appear allowing you to enter the credit card and billing information for the contact’s payment.
- Upon completing this information, clicking the Renew button will process payment for that membership renewal, using the supplied credit card information, immediately, if a payment gateway has been configured.
- When you have finished selecting memberships for renewal and filling in all pertinent information simply click on the Renew Selected button to process the batch.
- This will bring up the Confirm Renewal pop-up where you can either confirm the renewals, or cancel, to return to the previous screen and make adjustments.
