Clicking on Make Active activates the information in NonProfitEasy, making it visible to Users (or website visitors if your website is integrated with NonProfitEasy). Leaving Make Active unchecked is like leaving the information you entered or configured in Draft mode (primed and ready), so that you can come back later to activate it.
For instance, you can configure a number of events in advance in Events, but leave them inactive until you’re ready to begin promoting and taking registrations for each event or by having the Event Publish Date be in the future. When the time comes to activate each event, simply return to Events and click the solid gray circle next to the event you wish to activate. You’ll be asked if you’re sure you want to activate the event. Click OK, and it will be activated. You will know your Event is active once the solid gray circle turns into a solid green circle. (Solid Gray Circle = inactive; Solid Green Circle = active)
You can easily activate most other items in the Configuration or Other Stuff-Input & Insights screens the same way—by clicking on the solid gray circle in the Status column, and confirming your decision.
